I will readily and openly admit I’m not a big death metal guy, but this album has such a perfect blend of death and black metal that it was basically love at first blast beat. It combines all my favorite aspects of death and black metal with basically none of the parts I don’t like, so I can’t help but recommend this one. It grabs you by the throat from the moment it starts and doesn’t stop till the end. Kirk Gauthier
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
I'm such a disgrace for spending this much on digital, but this is a black/death metal masterpiece!
Blurring the line between genres like everyone used to in the good ol' 80s, when death and black metal were pretty much one, and even thrash and doom sometimes merged in all that chaos.
And of course, last but definitely not least, the punk influence.
Chasm has it all: the plethora of different influences, the rotten atmosphere, vocals from beyond the grave, a perfect sound and riffs for days! activa44
